Pillars of the TempleYou have read many times of the temple, which symbolizes the human body, the place where the divine Spirit resides. The two pillars, which support life, which support the individual being, are the heart, the center of love and wisdom; and the mind, which is the center of power, of energy and will; and that which unites the two, the keystone of the arch, is the Christ spirit.
Let us also liken the two pillars in the temple to the dual soul, or the dual spirit, male and female, father and mother if you like, dual aspects of God. When the two are wedded, when there is that perfect balance between heart and mind, or when there is a perfect mystical marriage, from that union there is born the holy child of God, Christ. We would suggest this as yet another esoteric interpretation of the immaculate conception, the perfect blending of the intuition and the spiritual qualities of the mother with those of the father, the mind. With this blending, this perfect marriage within the innermost being, the perfect Son of God, the perfect child, is born.

Dear Ones
Below is what Jonathan wrote about a recent training Pillars of the Temple: Essentials for a Spiritualized Life. The training was held in Bend in January 2010.
The Human Energy System, aka your body, is designed to be both a house and a school. It is like a sacred mobile home with feelings. It has been created from the divine marriage of heavenly light and earthly vibration, and it has been given to you as a gift, a home away from home, for you to dwell in and learn through while you are here on earth. The challenge for most of us is that we have woken up in this most interesting and useful vehicle with amnesia. A memory, like a distant melody, plays just out of earshot. We know intuitively that who we have been led to believe we are and what we have been told we are here for are not nearly the whole story. At some point in our lives we make a serious prayer for help to remember. And then our vehicle starts to shake. It shakes from the expansion of our own need to know ourselves meeting the contraction of habits and beliefs that have previously defined the structure of our vehicle, the whole thing being radiated in the light of our prayer. This disruption can take the form of dissatisfaction, illness, relationship and life challenges. Our house is crumbling. There are numerous ways to address the problem of a this shaking, because the problem is so common. The most common way is to try to patch up the house, hoping to make the structure what it used to be. Another way is to open the windows and let all the light in, letting the fulfilling of the prayer transform the house into something more appropriate for an awakening soul to live in- a temple.
If we want our house to become a temple, if we want to live a consciously spiritualized life, we have to consciously participate in the renovation. The building needs a new foundation, a new reason for its existence. This is provided by the beginnings of awakened memory. A shift in the understanding of what we are here for will give us a new basis for our life. Then we need to re-build our becoming- temple with new pillars; new principles and beliefs that will provide stability without rigidity, protection without fear, and the ability to function without relying solely on our personal will. And most importantly a real, palpable, constant and ever-exanding connection with the authentic divine light that heals us and guides us.
That is where this workshop comes in. Pillars of the Temple is offered as a specific set of principles and orientations to allow you to create your belief-structure to match your new commitment to embodying and following light. The emphasis on this work, is, as always, in the experiencing of the pillars in your own bodies and the free choice to adopt the ones that suit you as you construct your re-newed temple.
Here are some example of a few of the pillars.
The Three Groundings: Grounded on earth Centered in the heart Receiving light
True healing is counter-intuitive.
Guilt, shame, and judgement are axes that chop at the pillars. Vengeance is a bomb.
Darkness and light are both eternally dancing with one another. In the temple, light is always a little in charge.
