What is a Healer

A healer is a consciously choosing instrument of Divine forces. A healer chooses to stand as a bridge between spirit and matter. A healer offers oneself to transmit Divine Light to those living in matter, and to serve as a conduit for the transformation of pain, resistance, and contraction into acceptance, joy, and re-connection with spirit. A healer learns to consciously embody calmness, compassion, faith, and learns to demonstrate surrender. These are the qualities of the heart, and a healer is a teacher of the human art of living through the heart.

Healers can, and do, occupy every type of setting. Healers can be parents, teachers, health practitioners. Healers can be lawyers, accountants, factory workers, service workers. All healers are life-long students. To be a healer is not a matter of the particular manifestation of the healership, as much as it is a matter of choosing to bring light to bear on the circumstances we find and choose to put ourselves in, and to offer that light to the people who occupy those places with us.

Becoming a healer involves following a call. This call can come through intuition, illness, dreams, prayer, meditation, or any of the other ways that spiritual forces communicate with incarnate humans. The process of becoming a healer always involves transformation of one's health, lifestlyle, and emotions. It most especially involves the transformation of one's opinions, belief systems, and mental constructs; the process highlights the profound necessity to develop discernment on all levels.
